The concept of the Group Buy Run was introduced by Thirsty’s some 7 years ago, with a view to addressing a common complaint by parties interested in our products. Many of our potential customers really wanted to use pulp board coasters or, our very own SuperCoaster’s, however the size of their business or their budget precluded them from using this excellent medium. So we had people bought on the idea, but unable to meet the volume requirements. We shared in the frustration of these companies.

Following a brainstorming session, the Group Buy Run was conceived, a relatively simple idea, but one that required considerable coordination. This was introduced in 1986 and resulted in an enormous number of orders, to the extent that Thirsty’s became the second largest manufacturer of pulp board coasters in Southern Africa.

In short, we group a number of customers together and print all of their coasters together in one print run. This allows for shorter runs and some significant savings to the customer. However, a word of warning, this concept does require patience, given grouping print runs can extend over a period of a few weeks, depending on the time of year. But the benefits meet the needs of the vast majority of our customers.

Similarly, adopting this process means that our customers may if they wish, have a run of different designs. From as little as 500 for each SuperCoaster design and 10,000 for pulp board coaster designs.

So in conclusion, if volumes have been one aspect that have precluded you from using this form of advertising in the past, our Group Buy Run should be the solution.
